Google Japan’s “Google mobile ads” started on the 7th of April. The ads show up on Google.jp’s search results.
In addition to the title (with link to the site) and the description, the ads show a telephone icon, which can be clicked to make a call to the advertiser without dialing the numbers.

Hello,
Do you have a picture of what’s on phone screen: would be very useful!

Hi Didier,
No, I don’t have a picture of the screen, but Google’s mobile ad page has two graphics showing the ads, 1 title line + 1 description line + 1 URL & a link to phone call.

Hiya Motoko,
I had sent you an email last week, but did not receive a reply from ya..
It was about Google Japan.

Prashant.

I would be very interested in any more views on this: is it “off portal”, or done in partnership with networks? If with networks, what is the revenue share? Do users like it? What sort of advertisers might use it?
Any insights much appreciated!
